I just wanted to congratulate all the children on a fantastic performance!
I can't believe what the children achieved in just 5 days!
I am missing them all already and can't wait to get started on our next production . . . .
In particular I wanted to mention how lovely it was to watch everyone grow in confidence with there performance,
I also wanted to remind anyone who might be interested in our new Griffin Tales Saturday classes at Trinity Church, starting Saturday 10th of September.
The classes are £5 per student per hour, and depending on the age of the student, will be in either the 9:30 - 10:30 class as part of Listen Laugh and Learn with Griffin Tales providing the drama element of the class after some fun story and art time!
Or the 11 - 12pm class, or 12:30 - 1:30 class with Griffin Tales, creating Drama through children's literature with fun games, confidence building, improvisation and script-work for the full hour.
Griffin Tales is a children's repertory company, but also strives to build drama and performance skills within it's students. Therefore our first term will be a skills based term, where alongside learning about basic stage craft, story-telling, and improvisation, the students will also be learning puppetry and physical theatre skills that they will need to carry forward into a performance the following term at Chequer Mead.
As stated within our ethos, there will also be opportunities for singing and dance elements for those wishing to participate in those disciplines, but if this is something that your child does not wish to do, this is not a problem as the class can be split and tailored to suit the needs of each individual child as we believe in the EYFS ethos at Griffin Tales that EVERY CHILD MATTERS!
If this is something you feel Rose would be interested in please let me know either by email or phone and I can get the application form to you.
Many thanks again for all the children's wonderful participation in our Summer School and we hope to see them again very soon!
